A full range of social services is provided by Wallingford Senior Center  Social Worker supporting seniors in our community by promoting self-sufficiency to remain independent.  The Wallingford Senior Center is a resource center and link to learning about programs, services, benefits, and other areas of interest to seniors.  Seniors receive benefit counseling, eligibility information for federal, state and community services and help filling out forms to apply for benefits.  Outreach extends to educational presentations and training programs  on a wide variety of issues relevant to the senior population. 

Programs Available at the Wallingford Senior Center:

Veteran Services:  George Messier, Wallingford’s Veteran Service Officer, is available to answer questions and assist with benefit information.  Appointments are required. See the Wallingford Senior Center newsletter for more information.

Benefit Screening:  Are you eligible for any State or Federal Programs? Benefit QuickLINK is a free and confidential program which can quickly screen for eligibility. Appointments are required. See the Wallingford Senior Center newsletter for more information.

Connecticut Fuel Assistance Program:  The Wallingford Senior Center is an intake site for Wallingford residents age 60+. Appointments are required. See the Wallingford Senior Center newsletter for more information.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program(SNAP): Formerly the Food Stamp Program, SNAP can help with your grocery bill. Appointments are required. See the Wallingford Senior Center newsletter for more information.

Senior Community Café: LifeBridge Community Services serves a lunch to  persons 60 and over everyday at 11:40 A.M. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. Call 203-265-3508 between 9A.M. and 11A.M. A donations of $3.00 per meal is requested.
